The Texas A&M University African American Professional Organization's (AAPO) First Friday Lecture for October 2007 will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 11:45 a.m. in Room 110 of the Koldus Building on the Texas A&M University campus.

Joseph O. Jewell, Associate Professor of Sociology and Interim Director at Texas A&M's Race and Ethnic Studies Institute, will present "See How We Are:  Representations of Race/Ethnicity and the Politics of Difference."  The lecture will serve as a thematic lecture for the Institute's 2007-2008 Colloquium Series.

Lunch will be provided. Admission is free.
