A one-day symposium devoted to discussing the recent developments in geospatial technologies and their applications in mapping disease and promoting health by leading researchers and government program officers.

The primary goal of this symposium is to foster close partnerships in research and education among federal, state, and local agencies, and to strengthen links between academic research and applications. Researchers and practitioners interested in geospatial technologies and public health should attend.

Dr. Tom Koch (University of British Columbia): "Cartographies of Cancer: The Transformation of a disease"
