Postdoctoral Research Associate
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assigned specific duties pertaining to research activities
by the principal investigator or project leader. Performs
independent research activities and may supervise other
research personnel.
The nature of the duties are such that they require knowledge
of an advanced type in a field of science or learning, are
predominantly intellectual and varied in character, and
require consistent exercise of discretion and judgment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Appropriate doctoral degree.
Salary:
Commensurate with qualifications, but usually not less than
$1,500/month. Salary is normally paid from research funds.
Generally, an appointment to this position will not exceed
three years.
NOTE: If, at the time an applicant applies for a postdoc position, the degree has not been conferred, a letter needs to be attached, from the school's official Graduate Office and/or Registrar's Office, certifying that all requirements for the degree have been met and statiing the degree conferral date.
