Research Quick Briefs

Research by faculty members at Texas A&M University and agencies of The Texas A&M University System covers a variety of scientific endeavors, as broad and far-ranging as the University itself. Research Quick Briefs is an audio podcast produced by the Division of Research and Graduate Studies which highlights ongoing research efforts at Texas A&M.

The Division of Research and Graduate Studies presents an annual profile of the research and graduate studies programs at Texas A&M, including some interesting facts, figures, and comparisons.  As a whole, Profile illustrates the University's progress toward excellence in research and graduate studies, which are two of the main emphases detailed in the University's strategic plan, Vision 2020. This year, Profile was presented as a calendar for the 2008-09 academic year.

Vision 2020

On October 10, 1997 President Ray Bowen placed a stake in the ground. He proposed that Texas A&M University strive to be recognized as one of the ten best public universities in the nation by the year 2020, while at the same time maintaining and enhancing our distinctiveness. This goal set in motion the efforts of more than 250 people on and off campus to determine where we are now and how to narrow the distance between the place we are now and the goal President Bowen envisioned. This is the foundation of Vision 2020.

Callaloo

Callaloo, the premier African-American and African literary journal, publishes original works and critical studies of black writers worldwide. Edited by Charles H. Rowell, the journal offers a rich mixture of fiction, poetry, plays, critical essays, cultural studies, interviews, and visual art. Frequent annotated bibliographies, special thematic issues and original art and photography are some of the features of this highly acclaimed international showcase of arts and letters.


AGORA

Undergraduate Journal of Humanities Research - Agora is a refereed research journal sponsored by the Center for Humanities Research at Texas A&M University. It is published twice a year online, and each issue features papers and book reviews written by undergraduates and reviewed by professors.


TAMU Undergraduate Journal of Science

A student authored, edited and published journal of the sciences.
